About Dorcas
Dorcas Trust Development Ltd is a registered charitable company whose aim is to help alleviate poverty in specific countries through micro-enterprise development and the development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Underlying this aim is the wider one of bringing hope to people in apparently hopeless situations and of giving people "a glimpse of good living and of the living God".
Dorcas raises funds in the United Kingdom and within Europe and channels the funds via loans and/or investment to either qualified Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) or charities operating in this field, or to direct investment in certain SMEs. see Invest in Dorcas
Transformation can occur through economic programmes, international initiatives or through political linkages. But it can also occur through the lives and work of a few individuals and it is the aim of Dorcas to help bring about that kind of transformation.
